Heaven - John Moreland (SOA S05E11) (03:28)
Song on Sons of Anarchy, season 5 episode 11. This beautiful song is, till this moment, nowhere else to find on Youtube!!! Heaven We send our love to the sky We ask forgiveness and try to fly We couldn't help but question why Heaven only knows You fell down a mountain made of pills And drowned in a sea of hospital bills You don't deserve it, but it took you still Heaven only knows How am I supposed to believe in justice On days like this When all I see is emptiness We bite the bullet and take the news All you love you'll someday lose We walk around with the earthbound blues Heaven only knows

  1. Moreland in Transition 4 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Aug 2015

John Moreland seems to finally be getting some attention as the incredible singer-songwriter he is. But his first records showed more of his rock-punk roots and Earthbound Blues captures him in transition. There's straight-ahead rock, soul influences, and a heaping taste of the roots music to come. Moreland does it all with his apparently innate grace and power. Perhaps one day Moreland will once again lead a flat-out rock 'n roll band. You wouldn't find me complaining. But, whatever he does, he's the real deal and absolutely worth your attention.
